Did you hear… the HOUSE JUST VOTED TO REJECT SOCIALISM… and guess what’s included… None other than the DSA✨🥳✨ … Yes. The House passed a resolution condemning socialism today (September 1, 2026). H.Res. 1490, introduced by Rep. Jeff Crank (R-CO), “condemns and denounces socialism in all its forms, including the Democratic Socialists of America,” opposes implementing socialist policies in the United States, and also expresses support for the SAVE Act (proof-of-citizenship requirements for voter registration). It is a non-binding resolution. The final vote was 220–192, with 2 members voting present: • All voting Republicans supported it. • 8 Democrats voted yes: Kathy Castor (FL), Henry Cuellar (TX), Don Davis (NC), Jared Golden (ME), Vicente Gonzalez (TX), Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (WA), Darren Soto (FL), and Gabe Vasquez (NM). • 192 Democrats voted no. • 2 Democrats voted present (Chrissy Houlahan of PA and Maggie Goodlander of NH). The measure nearly stalled on a procedural vote earlier in the day after five Republicans opposed the rule; two Democrats (Golden and Gluesenkamp Perez) crossed over to advance it.
