Call me back when FF16 has a boss at least half as cool AND mechanically interesting as Leo Cantus Armo. THEN you can talk.

When FF16 gets bosses that can actually be comboed, status effects, wallsplats, AND collisions, then maybe, just maybe it can afford to lick NEO TWEWY’s boots. Until then… Nah

NEO TWEWY is legit one of the few games I’ll let the dialogue go on auto for because the pacing and direction for the voiced segments is legitimately that good. They really do feel like the characters are shooting the shit with each other in the same room.

"not a real action game" *looks inside* Huh. Funny. For a "not real action game", NEO TWEWY sure does have a lot of wallsplats, juggles, collisions, grabs/holds, OTGs, ground bounces, etc… Quite a lot of common with action games from back then, funnily enough.

You guys ever think about that one scene in TWEWY where Neku actually uses his busted combat dodge outside of gameplay to take down brainwashed Shiki?
