The CBI apprehended two officials from the Central Excise Department who allegedly accepted a bribe of 350,000 rupees from Karthik, a transport businessman in Madurai, yesterday. During the investigation, it was revealed that Saravanakumar was connected to the case. Following this, CBI officials conducted a search at his residence located in Thiruvidaimarudur, Thanjavur district.
