Honestly, Pakistanis do not think India is responsible for every wrong thing that happens in their country. However, some Indians seem to think that Pakistan is responsible for every problem in their country. I really hope that perspective changes. Because every country must look inward to solve their own problems.

Pakistanis don’t stay silent. We speak up when things get bad. Anywhere. India. Palestine. Our own backyards in Pakistan. But there must be no misinformation campaigns that benefit harmful agendas. The situation in Azad Kashmir did not emerge overnight. It follows more than two years of negotiations, concessions, and an unresolved constitutional dispute over the 12 refugee seats in the AJK Legislative Assembly. Negotiations failed. Most of JAAC’s demands were accepted or were under implementation, but the refugee seats issue remained unresolved because, according to the AJK Supreme Court, it requires a constitutional amendment. Not an executive decision. Despite repeated invitations for dialogue and participation in the electoral process, JAAC rejected these avenues and proceeded with protests and a long march. The resulting confrontation has led to a heartbreaking loss of life. Peaceful protest is a constitutional right, but constitutional disputes must ultimately be resolved through democratic and legislative processes… not violence. The focus now should be on restoring peace, protecting democratic institutions, and ensuring that no more lives are lost.
