SPOILERS CHAPTER 8 - WELCOME TO DERRY Ronnie's (Veronica's) character dies, trapped in the underground tunnels. Pennywise torments her with his horrific illusions; she sees many terrifying images and begins to scream, at which point she disappears along with a group of other dead kids. In this episode, Pennywise uses the dead to guide each character into the future. For example, he shows Maggie that she will be Richie's mother, revealing hidden family ties. To Lily, he shows a terrifying fate, hinting that she may end up in a mental institution, enduring intense psychological and physical suffering. Pennywise has the ability to see the macroverse, seeing the past, present, and future. He even foresees his eventual defeat at the hands of the Losers' Club, so he can change his own destiny. #WelcomeToDerry
