While I am so grateful that my father has such an amazing survival story, my heart aches every year on this day because there are so many people who do not have a story like this. These amazing people were taken from us way too soon, and I send so much love to the families and friends of those affected by this horrific tragedy. Although I was born two years after 9/11 happened, I have grown up hearing my father’s story and understanding the impact that this day had, and continues to have, on so many lives. I may not have experienced that day myself, but I will always carry my father’s story with me and remember the thousands of lives that were changed forever. Today, and every day, we remember those we lost, those who survived, and the families and communities who continue to carry their stories. ❤️🇺🇸
