"I started swimming when I was 8yrs old.... at a school competition, I didn't do so well. I asked my Dad if we could make a deal; that if I get better, if I could get something in return? He said 'if I did better in Swimming, he would buy me ice-cream once every week.' That's the promise we have kept with each other, and that's what brought me here (qualifying for the #Olympics) On choosing to represent Nigeria: "they (Nigerian Swimming Federation) reached out to me in 2022 to come for the National Sports Festival... one thing led to the other, and I am here in Paris to represent Nigeria."
