Club statement on tonights cancelled match against Gorleston FC Supporters Club Gorleston Football Club We’re incredibly disappointed that tonight’s fixture against Gorleston was unable to go ahead. A lot of hard work goes into preparing for a game — from the players and staff to everyone behind the scenes, on top of that, a 3 or for some, 4 hour drive one way — and we know many of you were looking forward to it just as much as we were. We also understand the frustration this causes for supporters who had planned their evening around the match and had also bought tickets and driven all that way to support their team, only to be turned away as soon as they arrived. We know you’ll have questions, we have read a lot of the social media posts and comments aimed towards Gorleston Fc, and we want to be as transparent as possible. We want you to know the reason the game was called off was because of one man, and one man only. Things are not always as they seem, please give Gorleston FC a break. Please take a moment to watch the video we’ve shared, which explains the situation in more detail and provides further clarity on what’s happened.
