What happened to weed culture? In this deranged gonzo exposé, author Denzel Rust Denzel Rust investigates Washington Square Park on 4/20. “The past few years, weed has shifted from a social drug to an individual one. No longer a peace pipe by the fire, but a jar of pills beside a nightstand. I’m here to be proven wrong. Not to smoke, but to surveil. To observe “Weed Culture” in a prosocial state. To secretly record people with my phone, take pictures of them without consent, then publish it online as content.”

Turns out 31 isn’t too old to get a circumcision. In this landmark gonzo piece, author Matthew Pegas puts real skin in the game. “Since beginning conversion classes, my girlfriend encouraged a hope that I’d somehow be able to sidestep the most ancient requirement of Judaism. But as soon as I read in the Book of Genesis that Abraham was ninety-nine years old when he was circumcised of the flesh of his foreskin, I knew I was cooked. If Abraham had to do it at 99, then surely, I would have to at 31.”
