All week we’ve been sharing photos of some of our incredible staff to bring the person behind the uniform to life and the dangerous work they do. Our firefighters have loved your support and we know so many of you are shocked that we have to remind people not to attack them. But, as this recent clip shows, it’s a real issue 😔 A crew from Manchester Central attended a fire recently and as they pulled up fireworks were thrown at them. 👀 👇You can see on our engine CCTV footage how close they go off to our staff. It’s #BangOutOfOrder 😡 we won’t tolerate it. Good people of Greater Manchester, we know you’re all better than this, call this behaviour out, speak to your children about it and support all emergency workers so they can do their vital job free from attack ❤️🚒🚓🚑

Today we held the Women in the Fire Service UK Greater Manchester North West Regional Event. 🎆 It is not only our firefighters who are busy at this time of year. Over the past few weeks, our fire safety officers have inspected over 100 businesses that are licensed to sell fireworks to check that they're complying with the law. Yesterday, Deputy Mayor for Safer and Stronger Communities Kate Green joined one of these inspections to learn more about the vital work our officers are doing to keep the people of Greater Manchester safe. #BonfireNight
