We are incredibly proud to share our new campaign video This powerful and poignant film tells the story of suicide bereavement and the devastating impact suicide leaves behind. Every month, 383 men lose their lives to suicide in the UK, leaving families, friends, colleagues and communities facing unimaginable grief, trauma and heartbreak. The ripple effect of every suicide is far reaching and life changing. At Man Down, we are fighting back against these statistics. Every day, we work to break down the barriers that prevent men from reaching out and talk about how they really feel underneath the mask. The shame. The stigma. The silence. But we can’t do this alone. We need your support to continue delivering the life changing work that our team is so passionate about. Can you stand with us ?? This is the Man Down Cornwall campaign video for 2024. It’s a thought-provoking watch, but that’s exactly what we want it to be. Far too many men suffer in silence and are not able to talk openly about how they feel about themselves, their lives and the world around them. The stigma of male mental health needs to end. Man Down run talking meetings around Cornwall (UK) for men with mental health concerns. Meetings are run by male volunteers with lived experience of mental health. We run these meetings to help men talk to other men in a safe, supportive environment without judgement. Together we can eradicate the stigma of male mental health. We want this video to be shared far and wide. We want to make men understand that the trauma effect and the destruction left behind after a life is taken is unbearable and utterly devastating for everyone involved. ⚠️This video may cause some distress and contains themes of suicide ⚠️ A very powerful and poignant story which unfortunately happens far too frequently. This video is an introduction into the new charity partnership we have formed with Pilkington Estates . They will very generously donate £100 for every house sale throughout 2025 to support our mission. Male suicide is still at an alarming rate here in the U.K. and we here at Man down are trying our best to significantly reduce those statistics. We offer men a safe, confidential and non judgmental space to talk and connect with other men who are finding life difficult to navigate through. We end the shame and the stigma by doing so and create a community of men who have found purpose to their pain. Let’s talk about it. #mandownuk2024💙 #MentalHealthMatters
