We are suing to prevent Donald Trump from controlling mail-in voting by dictating to the Postal Service of whose ballot they will and won't deliver. All of this is laddering up to Trump trying to dictate who gets to vote and who doesn't.

Today's Supreme Court decision in Watson was a victory for free and fair elections. It was the latest in a string of victories we have had in court. Let's hope it continues.

SCOTUS only has 8 cases left to decide. In Watson, the RNC is trying to force states to throw out hundreds of thousands of lawful mail-in ballots for partisan advantage. Next opinion day is Monday at 10am. Subscribe to Democracy Docket to stay informed.

In between drafts of my Democracy Docket piece for tomorrow on the remaining Supreme Court cases, Blue insisted on going for a swim.

Donald Trump and DOJ have had a rough few days -- losing big cases in his effort to rig the 2026 election. My team is preventing him from gaining access to sensitive state voter dats while Democracy Forward is blocking his misuse of federal databases. When we fight we win!

Corporate America has turned its back on democracy and bowed down to Trump. When, in the future, it once agains becomes convenient for them to say they celebrate democracy we should not believe them. In the meantime, we are on our own.

What is happening in Louisiana right now is both a redistricting power grab and a dry run for authoritarian election subversion this Fall. The governor has declared a state of emergency to suspend the congressional elections because he doesn't like the current map.

Not only was the Supreme Court's VRA decision cynical and wrong, it has now resulted in the governor of Louisiana declaring state of emergency to suspend the ongoing congressional election. If you think this ends in Louisiana or with redistricting, you are not paying attention.

Donald Trump has been telling us that if he doesn't like the outcome of the elections he will seize ballots. He wants Republicans to take control of voting. He wants to take over elections in Democratic states. People should be concerned and we all need to be ready.

Today was an important day for the opposition movement. The law firms that stood up against Donald Trump threats won. Those that capitulated and collaborated with Trump will need to explain to future generations why, when democracy was at stake, they were such cowards.

You can be a Republican in good standing and be against tariffs. You can be a Republican in good standing and be against the Iran war. You can be a Republican in good standing and be pro-choice. The only thing that you cannot be is in favor of free and fair elections.

There is no aspect of voting or the 2026 elections that Republicans are not attacking. This is an all out assault on democracy. My law firm and I are litigating in nearly 90 places to stop it with more to come.

They hate me because I fight. They attack me because I win. I will do everything I can to protect free and fair elections. I will never back down.

Donald Trump wants to be able to say who gets to vote and who doesn't. The details of that are all just excuses to disenfranchise voters he doesn't want to vote. It's that simple.

The fact that Donald Trump is going to try to subvert the 2026 elections doesn't mean he will be successful. We have shown before that we can fight back in court and win. The key is that we must educate everyone about what is going to happen and what they can do as well.

My law firm intervened in every case DOJ has filed to gain access to states' sensitive voting data. So far we have won several and lost none. But this is going to be a long fight for free and fair elections.

Redistricting did not turn out how Trump wanted. So, now he is resorting to political prosecutions, ballot seizures and the threat of federal paramilitary to steal the 2026 midterms. He is normalizing taking over ballot counting. We cannot let that happen.

Todd Blanche is trying to turn political prosecutions into a routine matter. He is claiming it's Trump's duty to go after his enemies and purge the department of career lawyers. He is a dangerously good liar that we cannot underestimate.
