24 hours later. Still thinking that one of my favorite games ever made is somehow going to get better so many years after it released and I get to talk about it with the team who made it in a few days.

Dear Genshin Impact fans, In my nodkrai video I said that Natlan’s music was nice but felt shallow, my mistake in this was not elaborating on why. I said it in passing and didn’t consider the word choice. I’m gathering that people assumed I was referring to the PLACES being represented by the music Which is preposterous because I would never criticize a culture or place, as I’ve always felt that is genshin’s strongest element. I assumed you would know it was obvious I was talking about the musical composition and structure not what that music represented (the people and the places) I’m sorry if you felt that I was spitting in the face of your culture. As a multicultural person myself and soon to be married to a multicultural person as well, I would never ever do that. I am saddened that you may have felt that. That said, subjectively, I felt natlan’s music was nice. But, a bit too easy listening to my taste. Part of the reason I have filmed so many Genshin videos is due to the musical complexity it showcases. Not just in the western soundscape but also in other regions that are represented. You’ll recall I defended this very thing a year ago when the music was representing African culture. At that time I was lambasted on this platform for saying that people of color were not being represented properly in game. I’m perplexed why you would think I’m suggesting the opposite now, even going so far as have people claim I am “racist” which is a bridge too far. In any event, I’m sorry for any hurt feelings. It’s clear to me that if I’m going to say something, I should be clear about what I mean.

This opening of Ace Combat 8 was so visceral for me. The first person mode, the music, the chatter. Its an incredible opening. I was gobsmacked.

The last two weeks have been an absolute whirlwind for me and for the first time in a long time I don’t have the words to properly describe what I’m feeling. Thank you so much to my community, to ace combat fans who have stopped by and shared words of kindness and joy and celebration. I’m that wonderful feeling of both melancholic and elated. I don’t know what it’s called or if it exists in the English language. Hortus Regis Alti. One of the greatest ace combat songs ever written. Thank you so much to the project aces team.

I'm an opera singer and enjoy talking about music while playing video games. This was a fun musical moment from my playthrough of kingdom hearts 2

I owe every single Xenoblade chronicles fan an apology for misjudging it. After starting and stopping the game 6 times, I finally committed, and it turned out to be one of the greatest games I've ever played. Here's my review:

Went to the tower that has the highest point in the map in NTE thinking there would be some sort of loading screen. Nope. Just hop in the elevator. Had a person or two pop into chat and ask if this was a "gacha slop" game and I really do get the sentiment to a degree but I have to admit I have a lot of fun in these games. We have moved far beyond these games even needing to be labeled as "gacha". I get that due to their monetization model they are viewed as automatically "inferior" and I don't want to defend them but I see stuff like this and can't help but get excited. Plus NTE doesn't have the god awful 50/50 system which I abhor. I played it like 7 hours today. I REALLY like it. It's a good video game.

I ADORE when music fuses genres like classical and EDM and frankly this is the second time I hear this stunning choral work from C̷ R̷ Y̷ W̷ O̷ L̷ F̷. Incredible music. Goes on the gym playlist.

The musical importance of Twilight Town can't be understated and there is a reason why it has remained one of the most memorable pieces of music in the Kingdom Hearts world. traverse town or twilight town? For me, I think Twilight.

I sat down and listened to Mori Calliope💀 and Elizabeth Rose Bloodflame💄hololive ( •̀ ᴖ •́ ) sing this wonderful cover of Libera Me from Gurren Lagann and it has the sauce. Really impressive departure from the original while retaining what makes it so good.

Happy launch day to Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve! Ace Combat has changed my life and become one of my absolute favorite series of all time. My life would be considerably more dull had I not discovered the incredible music and gameplay from these marvelous games. GO PLAY AC8!

Landscape intros are very important in setting tone. This is absolutely one of my favorites I’ve experienced in my 30 years of gaming. This was on par with Witcher 3, final fantasy, and some of the musical moments of red dead redemption. High artistic value.

Not done fawning over Wuthering waves 2.0 just yet: this is OPTIONAL. This is OPTIONAL?!?! Really the music in this update and world building are exceptionally 15/10s. Even if you hate gacha games, which I can’t blame you for, this might be worth experiencing. Genuinely.

I knew that when I first heard Alicia that I had to cover it. Thank you once again to Sandfall Interactive - CO:E33 out now! Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and especially Lorien Testard for creating such a beautiful world with terrific music. You made this singer happy. Full cover here:

I only discovered Ace Combat four years ago but as a kid I used to play a lot of European Combat flight simulator to pass the time. When I heard the music of Ace combat it blew me away and I've been a fervent and very passionate fan of the series ever since going on to play 4,5,0,7, and project wingman and DLC, with 6 planned for the new year. I am beyond words. I'm so happy Ace Combat is back. Thank you Bandai Namco US <3
