Extraordinary - after months of political instability, Bulgaria’s caretaker PM Gyurov tells me «joining the Board of Peace was the decision of one oligarch under sanctions. I don’t see the Bulgarian parliament ratifying membership beyond Gaza. What’s surprising is the influence this oligarch has» in politics. He’s referring to Delyan Peevski sanctioned under the Global Magnitsky Act.

Good morning from Delhi where a European delegation led by von der Leyen and Costa were treated as guests of honor at the Republic Day parade. Tomorrow - a trade deal cutting tariffs is expected to be sealed as well as a new defense and security pact. India hit by 50% tariff regime under Trump. De-risking used to be synonymous with China, now it also includes Trump’s tariffs/ America as the European push to diversify and conquer new markets continues. And yes - we got front row seats, but we did wake up at 430am for it!
