While STEM professionals have to answer for their mistakes, humanities professors build theories that no one ever has to test. That lack of accountability is exactly how toxic ideas take over a university and eventually a culture. The grade inflation has been directly related to initiatives like DEI, participation trophies and the lowering of academic standards. If everyone gets an A, then diplomas don’t mean much anymore.
