.Floyd Mayweather breaks down the shoulder roll defense to Brian Kenny on ESPN Friday Night Fights on May 28, 2004. This is right around the era where FNF really helped transform me from a casual fan to a hardcore fan.

Nice to see Jeff Passan absolutely RINSE the A’s. Also says a source dealing with the A’s relocation thinks they’re clueless.

The places where a sanctioning body should and could actually be of use, ends up being useless. Nick Ball had his hands wrapped by the time Team Figueroa arrived. Manny Robles asked the commission to do something, they said nothing they can do. Went to WBA Boxing, sorry bud. Utterly worthless organizations.

A Floyd Mayweather interview from 1998 alongside uncles Roger and Jeff with Al Bernstein on ESPN2 Championship Boxing. Crazy how quiet and mild-mannered he was on TV as Pretty Boy Floyd.

If you've never seen this, it's a case of some of the highest level of incompetence and corruption to ever happen in a boxing ring. May 30, 2008, Danny Williams went to Spain to face unbeaten Konstantin Airich on a show promoted by Airich's promoter Ahmet Oner. Referee Alfredo Garcia Perez had no clue what to do in this fight. He admonished Williams for low blows that weren't low, ruled a knockdown of Airich but then changed his mind mid-count and took two points from Williams. He later gave two standing-eight counts to Williams. Then when Williams was about to stop Airich, Ahmet Oner rang the bell 1:30 early. A round later, the towel came in from Oner to stop the fight. Insane action fight.

Worked on this for the last several weeks for Monday's 18th anniversary of Joe Calzaghe vs. Mikkel Kessler. Ran on InsideRingShow -- shoutout to Queensberry Promotions for being helpful with providing awesome footage and Max Kellerman for his awesome words.
