It's nice and sunny....in Ohio. Sadly, I don't think it will be clear back home, but here in Ashtabula, Ohio there are hundreds at the Ohio Welcome Center. Totality is in about 45 minutes and already 25% of the sun has been eclipsed.

I'm in our nation's capital with county leaders from across the country advocating for the reform of FEMA. FEMA has problems, and like the proverbial throwing the baby out with the bath water, it needs to reformed, not eliminated. NACo

For those of you who are wondering why there is a driving/travel ban across most of Erie County, check out this video I just shot in the Town of Cheektowaga off of Walden Avenue. It's REALLY bad. This why we did not want thousands of vehicles trying to get to a football game.

Hi from DPW1 at the corner of Abbott Road and Southwestern Blvd. You should be able to see a stadium there but you can't because it's terrible out with snow falling at a rate of at least 3" an hour and winds still whipping. This is why there is still a driving ban. Be safe!

The asylum seekers who recently arrived from NYC are legally in this country and have been vetted by federal authorities. Jericho Road Community Health Center and other local organizations will be assisting them, as they have hundreds of others, in their quest to become citizens.

I'm in Seneca Falls at a #HandsOff Rally and there is a big crowd sending a message to President Trump that they will not stand by and let our democracy be destroyed. I talked to a few Republicans who angry with what is happening and that their Rep. Claudia Tenney is doing nothing.

The fire at the Paul William Beltz Building in downtown has increased dramatically. Fire fighters were pulled from the building. Church Street is completely closed. Rath Building is still open but we suggest NOT coming down at this time.

Out with Erie County DPW Commissioner Bill Geary checking conditions in Orchard Park near the stadium and they are very bad. It appears to be snowing at a rate of 3-5" an hour and complete whiteouts due to the wind. Please observe the driving ban. Snow is piling up quickly.

I'm out this sunny Sunday carrying petitions to get myself and other Democrats on the ballot. In NY you can only get on the ballot through petitioning. If someone comes to your door asking for you to sign for candidates, please sign their petitions. This is how democracy works!

I'm in Washington, DC for a Disaster Reform Task Force Meeting but all anyone is talking about is the freeze of our money by the Trump administration. States are locked out of the Medicaid system and other programs, like grants for seniors meals and rides, are frozen.

Watch as I travel to Wilson County, Tennessee to meet the attendees at the Wilson Co. Democrats Dinner and tell them why Wilson County matters and why I am proud to be a Democrat. 3 years ago 50 people were at this dinner. This year 600 attended. Change is coming across America!

On the Rainbow Bridge in anticipation for the big Tug-of-War between the Niagara Falls NY and Ontario law enforcement to show the unity of those in WNY &amp; So. Ontario. No matter what happens in DC and Ottawa, we on the Niagara Frontier and Niagara Peninsula will always be friends.

58% of SNAP recipients are seniors or children. 11% are toddlers and babies under 5 - more than 4 million nationwide. They will all go hungry because of the government shutdown. You know who is not a SNAP recipient: undocumented immigrants. SNAP recipients are your neighbors.
