It's nice and sunny....in Ohio. Sadly, I don't think it will be clear back home, but here in Ashtabula, Ohio there are hundreds at the Ohio Welcome Center. Totality is in about 45 minutes and already 25% of the sun has been eclipsed.

Our Erie County DPW crews are hard at work across the county improving our roadways. I stopped by with cold drinks as a small token of appreciation for the men and women keeping these projects moving. Their work makes our roads safer and better for everyone.

For those of you who are wondering why there is a driving/travel ban across most of Erie County, check out this video I just shot in the Town of Cheektowaga off of Walden Avenue. It's REALLY bad. This why we did not want thousands of vehicles trying to get to a football game.

Hi from DPW1 at the corner of Abbott Road and Southwestern Blvd. You should be able to see a stadium there but you can't because it's terrible out with snow falling at a rate of at least 3" an hour and winds still whipping. This is why there is still a driving ban. Be safe!

The fire at the Paul William Beltz Building in downtown has increased dramatically. Fire fighters were pulled from the building. Church Street is completely closed. Rath Building is still open but we suggest NOT coming down at this time.
