HAPPENING NOW: Our crew is on scene of a small plane down. We're told by TPD, "We can confirm a small biplane landed on Park Avenue near Bilby Road. The single occupant of the aircraft was not injured and it appears a pole was struck. The investigation is ongoing at the moment. For traffic, all vehicle traffic is shut down on Park Avenue from Mossman Road south to Bilby Road."

ICYMI: The Pima County Sheriffs Department says before 8 this morning, they responded to Sabino Canyon for a rescue. A family of three tried to cross a flooded bridge on bicycles. During the crossing, a 20-year-old woman fell from her bicycle and became trapped underwater. Family members and Good Samaritans began helping, but the woman remained underwater for multiple minutes. She was eventually pulled from the water and CPR was started until she regained consciousness. PCSD Deputies arrived to help her out of the drainage. Two people were taken to a local hospital and are reported to be stable. PCSD says this is a good reminder--"never attempt to cross flooded washes, whether on a bike, in a vehicle, or on foot. Fast‑moving water is extremely dangerous and puts you and first responders at risk."

A bear cub wandered into the Fry’s on Oracle and First this morning! Charlie Alolkoy caught a glimpse on video. Game and Fish has recently told us these creatures are coming down closer to us, looking for food and water. OVPD says the bear left prior to arrival so they’re now working with Game and Fish, using a drone to search for it.
