i watched the documentary about lily phillips. this was her immediate reaction after hooking up with 100 men in a day. she was feigning excitement for weeks before the stunt. in fear of seeming ‘judgmental’ – the one and only cardinal sin recognized in modern secular culture – nobody in lily’s life stopped her from hitting self destruct. she will remember the fact that nobody stopped her. and she will count that as evidence that she is worth nothing more than being used sexually, hence her new record-breaking goal of 1000 men in a day. this is a veiled suicide attempt.

lily phillips makes many self-deprecating remarks throughout the documentary, but this one was especially bleak. she implies that no sane man will ever love her or want to commit to her. instead, whoever marries her will be “one poor bastard,” and he might as well pimp her out to other men as a prostitute.

catcalling was one of the big scares of 2010s hashtag feminism, prior to metoo. like free the nipple, free bleeding, armpit hair, and an assortment of other pet issues. feminists would walk around cities with gopros to record as many possible instances of (mostly) black guys yelling “hey sexy” and the like. seems so silly now, but this was considered a real social ill at the time

i can’t give you a better explanation for how #MeToo came into existence than this video right here. women’s propensity to be highly agreeable, paired with a culture that encourages promiscuity - that’s one dangerous combination. it’s unconscionable that young women rely on influencers like this one for moral guidance. blind leading the blind.
