179 days ago my students walked the Green Carpet and chose the NFL team they would track, study, and believe in for an entire season. For 179 days, these kids followed stats, mapped geography, tackled math, researched history, and learned what it means to truly know a team. Somewhere along the way, they didn’t just study their teams..they became part of them. Today, we crowned our Super Bowl champion. The Seattle Seahawks , a story of perseverance, resilience, and grit. A reminder that being written off doesn’t mean you’re done. That teamwork matters. That defense wins games. That belief changes EVERYTHING. Watching Adam hold the Lombardi Trophy while his classmates cheered him on was one of those moments you never forget. Pure joy. Pure pride. Pure MAGIC!!!!! Congratulations to the Seahawks. The power of sportsmanship ✨ Before school, my Jets fan was really bummed. He told me he was worried that the other students were going to brag about the Dolphins beating the Jets during our Dolphins recap. (He’s our only jets fan). He had already suffered enough. Little did he know, I had a suprise waiting for him. In this video, I teach my kids a small lesson on sportsmanship through the story of Jaelan Phillips & his injury. After filming, the kids couldn't have rallied around him more. 🐆Tyreek Stats vs. The Commanders 🐆 We tallied up Tyreek's 157 yards to find his new totals! Wow. Cheetah is on pace for a record-breaking season. I thought last week was special giving out a no homework pass, but this week, they did it again. We had ANOTHER student predict Tyreek's yards EXACTLY. These kids surprise me every day. They are no longer just writing down random numbers and are really looking at the data to make their predictions. The math is totalllly mathing. After adding up our totals, Tyreek Hill now needs 104 yards per game to reach his goal. I decided to throw a brain twister their way, and they were not phased. In the past, the NFL regular season was only 16 games. How many yards per game would Tyreek hill need if he had a 16-game regular season? Well, you just divide his total yards by 4 instead of 5 to get a total of 130 yards (129.75 if we are getting technical). We are excited to see Tyreek match up against the Titans, under the lights, for Monday Night Football Teach, out 🎤 🫡 PFN
