I asked the people canvassing to recall the Vancouver-Quilchena MLA Dallas Brodie, why they want to recall her. Here is why: "Indigenous people are facing discrimination!" "Can you give me an example?" "It's everywhere!” “Just one example” "Don't you see?! Also, I’m gay, my rights are under attack." “Which rights?” “I need protections!” “From what?” “From harmful opinions” PS: for anyone claiming I took anything out of context, I’m happy to share the raw version. I cut it short because the full video is almost 20 minutes.

When Wyatt Claypool and I invited the Turtle Island-Rainbow activists to join Dallas Brodie's townhall, they were very surprised. After all, they did call us racists, Nazis, and subhuman, didn't they? "Will you really welcome us in?" Of course! And we did. A few went inside. I commend them for sitting and listening. After the townhall ended, two of them approached me and said: "Just like we thought, it's all misinformation!" I asked what specifically they disagreed with. They refused to clarify, scoffed, and left.

Protesters were bused in, given free dinner and timbits, and offered cash "for gas." The signs were premade and handed out. When I went to film them, they claimed they were praying. They screamed and drummed for nearly two hours on the side of the highway, and then left.
