1. If all Israel's enemies lay down weapons, everyone knows that it will bring peace and prosperity to the region. If Israel lays down weapons, everyone knows that Israel will cease to exist that very day. And we saw what that would look like... 2. The massacre that we witnessed, children and women and elderly taken as hostages, show that Hamas is like ISIS. It is NOT a war for territory or sovereignty. Instead of using the billions of dollars poured into them by the international community to create a prosperous nation alongside Israel, they turned Gaza into an oppressive murderous regime that kills its own people and indoctrinates children to kill the Jews and all infidels. It’s a religious war. 3. At all times Israel gives access to medical services to Arabs from both Gaza and Palestinian Authority, and provides humanitarian aid and basic necessities to Gaza. Arabs in Israel proper are doctors, lawyers, heads of medical departments in major hospitals, high ranking military commanders, heads of police precincts, Supreme Justices, members of parliament and members of coalition. This is NOT apartheid, and there is no moral equivalence.

I have to admit my intrigue with BLP began after my son showed me one of his videos and I saw the iced out rose dreidel, the sideways dreadlocked peyot, and hockey hat. We haven’t had a member of the tribe with this level of swagger since Dylan. But after delving into his raps it became clear that this dude is for real and is somewhat of a Savant when it comes to combining his Jewishness with currnt mainstream skate and rap culture. I immediately asked my Son Laivy to introduce us and felt it important to reach out and show some love as there are few Jews with the same reach to the youth that he has and he’s out there making a kiddish Hashem which we need more then ever. When I approached him with the song he took it very seriously and truly wanted to write about the things that give him anxiety. So grateful to you, all the fans who continue to listen to my music and come to shows. It has been 26 years since I came out of yeshiva on Friday afternoons to record my first album Shake Off The Dust. I would take the train to downtown BK and walk to Dumbo with a vision and a dream. I recorded those first songs mixing my two loves reggae music and Judaism in a way that felt natural to me. We played our first shows as band in New York City and the live energy was contagious. It’s been a bumpy road at times and at other has felt like I was being pulled up and lifted by angels around me. Those angels have been real people and I say Thank You to you, all the angels who have supported my musical existence these last 26 years. #happythanksgiving #happythanksgiving2025

Prayer has always been at the center of my desire to conquer the enemy within. Before I became Matisyahu, I was a young man in a battle. I had already tasted from the tree and felt both sides. How could I not let the evil king rule the city (my heart). “I loose my balance, I’m a tad bit out of touch. You can’t imagine, all the times that I gave up.” How does one achieve victory in this war against his evil inclination? I would go up onto the roof of my school and pray for success as I entered into an era of rituals. Matisyahu was born here and these rituals guided me but were also complicated in their paradoxical nature. Later on around the time of the Akeda record, my process of connection became tied to breaking rituals that had become a golden calf of sorts actually impeding my connection to HaShem. And now…? I find myself deeply yearning for the original connection I had in my early days of calling upon God from the roof of the New School only armed with decades of practice and baggage as I sift through this mess again in search of something pure. May we all find that one sealed canister of pure oil this Chanuka and rebuild the ultimate house of redemption with Mosiach now! I want to know about your process. How do you balance? The uglier their ignorance is, the deeper it pushes me back to the truth of Hashem. Funny how the “opposition” is leading me back to the root. Thank you to this beautiful couple and the hundred or so others like them in Birmingham who were not intimidated by the fools on the corner. I am proud to call you my fans and now we are family. They can shout whatever they want but if they dropped their ego’s and their signs and came inside their hearts would warm in the glow that we all know. Thank you again for your bravery and know you are the reason I continue to be out here. See you tonight Dallas and then on to the west coast.

Shabbat Shalom as we enter into the Partia of building a home for Hashem in this world. My heart and prayers are with my Jewish brothers and sisters right now as we fight this brutal wave of anti-semitism. Stay alert and listen to the voice calling each and every one of us to unite together and find our Godly Sparks. Together we are unstoppable. In the spirit of using the music as a form of prayer, I began bringing a book of Psalms onto stage with me. When the time feels right during certain jams, I will open it up and start chanting. I bought my first 15 passenger van in 2004 and started touring to make a living fresh out of yeshiva. I didn’t wait for a record deal or an agent, because for me live music has always been the core. From that first tour where I brought a laundry basket of books and a cooler full of kosher meat it’s been a journey. I’ve spent the better part of the last 22 years traveling around this country playing my songs for you and it feels so good to still be doing it. Thank you.

This one is dedicated to all the mothers and sisters who’s sons and brothers won’t be lighting candles this Chanukah. We try to find the light of Chanukah this year in the darkness of tragedy and heart break. Our hearts once again united in pain, how do we move forward? We move forward with the infinite knowledge that we are the light. No matter how much darkness, the Jewish people will rise and shine through it just like the Menorah that shines through the destruction of the Temple. By the age of 21 I was sick of myself. I felt isolated and alone in the world. I felt I had a mission to make music and I knew I had something special but I knew I needed to brake certain inner barriers in order to access the gift. I had been touched by the angel of music and was designated as one of her givers but I could not get past myself. I was the ultimate barrier to my own destiny and so I created Matisyahu out of discipline. A self imposed jail sentence of sorts where I grew a beard, put on a suit, and took off my glasses on the street and spent my days and nights learning Torah in a basement on Eastern Parkway. I stopped music all together and at one point I needed music so bad I went and recorded 3 songs in Philly just so I would have something to listen to. I would sneak up to the roof of my yeshiva with my yellow sports disc man and listen to the music I had created and look up at the sky and talk to the master of the world. I would say please help me overcome my sadness, my addictions, my demons. Please let me share this music that’s inside me with the world and I will make you proud.
