windfoil — a new algorithm, practically one-shotted by Fable in a ~1 hr long uninterrupted session. achieves analytic anti-aliasing for quadratic curves in a fragment shader. builds upon the Slug Algorithm, computing winding integral over a single band axis rather than dual-ray

Fable basically one-shotted a new coverage algorithm that improves upon Slug... here is a single draw call, just instanced quads operating on analytic curves, no MSAA, perfect AA at any resolution, more accurate than Slug and only casts a single ray rather than two

does Jev understand colour? incredible model, very cheap and fast. definitely feels like a leap forward for creating new UX/UI paradigms on top of modern language models.

an esoteric colour picker exploring perceptual ambiguities, drawn from ~3 million human-labelled colours. for each named colour (eg. "pink"), the disc represents the two primary axes of uncertainty in the data, and the slider exposes a third axis. more details below.

Nearly real-time diffusion model, running locally and offline from my browser and with decent output quality. Pretty astonishing to use; but with such a tight feedback loop, the textual interface starts to feel really inadequate.

exploring 2,500 named colour terms, organised by similarity in CLIP's 512-dimensional text embedding space. the structure that emerges from just text inputs forms a kind of continuous colour space, hinting at a low-dimensional manifold for colour language.

Small prototype with AI + generative sketching workflow. Sketches are written as usual in code, and prompts can be used to augment/modify the artwork's inputs and parameters. 🤖 This is using OpenAI API with GPT 3.5, already showing a surprisingly good grasp of color for an LLM.
