A thank you Thank you to everyone - whether you’ve been into us for a day, a year, a decade, 20 years, since 2005/4/3, or hell - when I joined/formed trivium in 1999. It’s been a wild 27 years to be in this band. Highs, lows, in betweens; the good, the bad, the ugly, the uglier; the moments of joy, moments of wanting to quit, wanting to quit it all… Your support allows us to do this. This is the greatest “job” in the world: making the kind of music 4 friends want to make, and sharing that with the folks who enjoy it. Here’s to the next 27 years. Love yall MKH

In 2005 - we hadn’t yet had our break. No one knew who we were. Expect for the UK and Ireland. A bunch of 18 year olds came out at 11am on the MainStage in download to 40,000 people who forever changed the destiny of trivium. The next 21 years were filled with gold records, sold out tours, and topping it off with selling out the o2. 2026. We just had the greatest show of our career - on the main stage - to 60/70,000 people. At download once again. If 2005 gave us that many amazing things in the span of 21 years - I can only imagine what 2026’s show will hold for us. Thank you download, thank you to our devoted supporters. We love you.

Papa Roach / Jacoby Shaddix appreciation post: Back in 2005, I remember finishing download festival - one of our greatest shows ever - but I remember it being bittersweet because while the fans were insane, I had the lingering situation that most of our favorite bands in the metal scene hated our guys and bullied us in person when we’d tour with them. I met Jacoby backstage at download - he was super kind and said how he dug our band - I thanked him but somehow I knew I could mention the bullying and crap we were dealing with. He told me “f the haters” and that if we stick to our guns and stay true to ourselves - we’d rise above all of that. That kindness of one of my musical childhood heroes stuck with me forever. I ran back into Jacoby after years at Rock am Ring last week ish - he was just as amazing a human as ever. We were invited to do a show with them in Budapest. Their entire crew, org, and band treated us like kings. Jacoby and Papa Roach and their entire org are an example of how everyone should do this. Treat everyone as equals and with respect and kindness. Jacoby. You’re a true star in every sense of the word. Seeing all the band’s kids out rocking to their parents made me so happy and excited for the future when my kids could one day join me on stage overseas as well. Y’all are incredible.
