I’m no longer a Democrat BECAUSE I’m a liberal. I still believe in liberal values, common sense, pluralism, and actual debate. What I no longer believe is that today’s Democratic Party still stands for those things. At some point, you stop staying loyal to the memory of something and deal with what it has actually become.

People keep asking why I changed. I didn’t. I still believe in liberal values, equality, democracy, LGBT rights, and human rights. What changed was a Democratic Party that made room for antisemitism, excused Islamism, and treated Jews like they needed to pass a moral purity test just to be seen as human. I didn’t leave the party—The party left me.

I left the left. I didn’t change my values… The left abandoned them.

A man tried to bomb a synagogue full of Jews, and Matt XIV is still bending over backwards to left-splain it, while conveniently leaving out the fact that Israel was targeting Hezbollah, and that the man’s brothers who were killed were Hezbollah operatives. Blaming random Jews for something happening overseas is collective punishment — the same logic behind antisemitism for centuries.

It’s that time of year again where Pride organizations capitulate to anti-Jewish activists and everybody pretends it’s “inclusive.” Kentuckiana Pride capitulated to the Jew hating mob and disinvited Israeli DJ Eliad Cohen. There’s no pride in hate. Fuck pride.

Silence isn’t neutral right now. People across Iran are risking their lives to confront a regime that has ruled through fear, violence, and repression for nearly half a century. Tear gas. Bullets. Water hoses — in a country suffering severe water shortages — and still, the people don’t stop. If you care about LGBTQ rights, women’s rights, religious freedom, ethnic equality, peace in the Middle East, fighting antisemitism, or opposing global terrorism, this is your issue too. Speak up. Don’t look away.

Hashd al-Shaabi —Iraqi militia funded by the regime— boasting that they’re in Tehran. They’ve been brought in to suppress and kill Iranians. Further proof: this regime is not of Iran. It is an imperialist force—an extension of the Arab Islamic conquest that overtook Iran in the 7th century.

As an Iranian-American watching anti-Trump protests across my city and across the country, I can’t help but think this has crossed into absurdity and self-victimization. At a certain point, it stops helping anyone. It starts to feel like protesting for the sake of protesting. Protest all you want—that’s your right as an American. But for God’s sake, stop calling Trump a fascist dictator and stop lumping everything into one catch-all cause.

Two Israeli embassy staffers were shot dead tonight outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, DC. They were a couple, about to get engaged. The suspect, now identified as 30-year-old Elias Rodriquez of Chicago, chanted “Free, free Palestine” while in custody. This is what happens when antisemitic propaganda is allowed to fester—when the lies of “genocide” “colonialism” and “apartheid” are spread unchecked by media, social platforms, and academia. You can’t demonize Jews on campus, on your TikTok page, or from your faculty office without consequence. The blood is not only on the shooter’s hands. It’s on every outlet, influencer, and institution that has dehumanized Jews under the guise of “activism.” With each passing day, the boundary of what’s considered acceptable when it comes to harming Jews is pushed further. We are watching the line disappear. Murder is the logical end of your narrative.

The anti-Israel crowd isn’t outraged by the slaughter of Iranians. They’re outraged by Israel. When thousands of unarmed civilians are killed, they’re silent. When Israel supports the Iranian people against the regime, they lose their minds. Israel derangement syndrome is a disease.

While Iranians are being killed in the streets under a nationwide communications blackout, CNN is recycling regime narratives. Reza Pahlavi has never advocated imposing a monarchy. He has called for a democratic transition and for Iranians to decide their future themselves. Undermining the opposition figure protesters are rallying around — at this moment — weakens a real chance to end the Islamic Republic. Whose narrative is this serving?
