I have come across a video circulating on social media alleging that I, together with some Members of Parliament of the New Patriotic Party in the Ashanti Region, met with District Directors of the Electricity Company of Ghana and offered them money to deliberately keep the lights off in their respective districts. I wish to state, unequivocally, that this allegation is entirely false, malicious, and without any basis in fact. Beyond the obvious falsehood, I find this claim deeply troubling because of the dangerous implications it carries for the hardworking engineers and officials of ECG, unfairly exposing them to public anger, intimidation, and possible harm arising from a narrative built on deliberate misinformation. I have therefore instructed my lawyers to commence the necessary legal processes against the radio and television station involved, as well as the presenter responsible for making these claims, to compel them to substantiate these allegations with credible evidence or face the full consequences of the law. At a time when Ghanaians are confronted with serious challenges in the power sector, the focus of government and its communicators should be on providing lasting solutions to the crisis and not manufacturing falsehoods, spreading smear narratives, and politicising matters that directly affect the lives of our people. The Ghanaian people deserve honesty, accountability, and leadership that is committed to solving problems rather than creating distractions.

Football has a unique way of bringing people together, and this evening, it did just that as party faithful gathered at the NPP Ashanti Regional Office to watch the 2026 UEFA Champions League Final. Beyond the excitement of the match, it was a great opportunity to spend time together, share a few laughs, enjoy some healthy banter, and connect outside the usual demands of politics and public life. Congratulations to Paris Saint-Germain on retaining their European crown, and thank you to everyone who made the evening enjoyable.” #ChampionsLeagueFinal #UCLFinal #PSG #Football #Community #NPP #AshantiRegion #WithOurOwnHands #MOP

Our nation has come this far because, despite our diversity, we have always found strength in coexistence and unity of purpose toward development. Anyone who aspires to lead Ghana must be ready to uphold these values, embracing every part of our nation and every people as one. #HopeForGhana #WithOurOwnHands #LeadershipInService #OneGhana

Hajia Samira Bawumia’s campaign tour of the Ashanti Region made a stop at my beloved Manhyia South, and it was an honour to once again engage my esteemed delegates in the constituency. I reiterated my call for us to unite behind the elephant, regardless of who sits on it, and reaffirmed the message I have shared consistently across the country: Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia remains the only candidate with the clarity, experience, and national appeal to lead our party to victory in the shortest possible time. #WinWithBawumia #NPP #PartyUnity #LeadershipInService #WithOurOwnHands #HopeForGhana #AshantiRegion #ManhyiaSouth

When Hon. Ekow Vincent Asafuah once came to me, deeply aggrieved over an alleged act of sabotage in Old Tafo concerning his seat, I offered him a simple piece of advice, one that remains relevant to our party at this moment. I told him plainly that no case is made through violence or hostility. Power belongs to the people, and the only legitimate path forward is to return to them, make your case with humility, and earn their trust. I urged him to continue showing love and respect to the same people, reminding him that such challenges are not uncommon in politics, and that I too had faced similar moments in my own journey. Today, it is instructive to note that Hon. Vincent and the individual involved have since become good friends. It is a quiet reminder that restraint, patience, and respect for the people will always outlast conflict. #PartyUnity #PeacefulPolitics #RespectThePeople #LeadershipInService #WithOurOwnHands #PatienceAndWisdom #BuildingTogether #HopeForGhana

The news of the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight distinguished Ghanaians has left me deeply heartbroken. The sudden and painful loss of Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, Alhaji Muniru Mohammed, Dr. Samuel Sarpong, Mr. Samuel Aboagye, Squadron Leader Peter Anala, Flying Officer Manaen Twum Ampadu, and Sergeant Ernest Addo is a devastating blow to our nation. These were men of honour, duty, and selfless sacrifice. I extend my sincerest condolences to the bereaved families, the Government of Ghana, the National Democratic Congress, and to all citizens of this country. May their souls rest in perfect peace, and may we all find comfort in the legacy they leave behind.

Earlier this morning, I cast my vote in the ongoing presidential primaries of the New Patriotic Party at St. Anne’s Anglican Church in the Manhyia South Constituency. The process was smooth, orderly, and peaceful. I encourage all Party delegates to proceed to their respective polling stations to exercise their right to vote, and to do so in a calm and responsible manner, strictly observing all the rules that govern this important exercise. #PresidentialPrimaries #NPP #CivicDuty #PeacefulProcess #PartyUnity #ManhyiaSouth #LeadershipInService #WithOurOwnHands #HopeForGhana

Akwasidae is a sacred and ceremonial festival of the Asante people, observed every six weeks on a Sunday within the Akan calendar. It is a moment when the Asantehene receives homage, honours our ancestors, performs time-honoured rites for spiritual continuity, and reaffirms the unity, authority, and enduring legacy of Asanteman. It was therefore a privilege to observe the first Akwasidae of the year with Asanteman and the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, at the Manhyia Palace. #Akwasidae #ManhyiaPalace #Asanteman #AsanteCulture #CulturalHeritage #OtumfuoOseiTutuII #TraditionAndIdentity #HistoryAndContinuity #WithOurOwnHands

As the dust settles on last Saturday’s Presidential Primaries, I wish to once again express my sincere gratitude to delegates of our great party, particularly those across the Ashanti, Ahafo, Bono, Bono East, and Western North Regions. In our engagements, you embraced and believed in the message of consistency and continuity, a defining hallmark of our political tradition, and you affirmed that belief by voting overwhelmingly for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. With this phase now concluded, the task ahead is clear. Let us come together as one united party and renew our commitment to the good people of Ghana, as we work diligently to earn their trust once again and position ourselves for victory in the 2028 General Elections. #ThankYouDelegates #WinWithBawumia #PartyUnity #NPP #LeadershipInService #WithOurOwnHands #RebuildingTheParty #RoadTo2028 #HopeForGhana

There will always be tensions and incidents during internal campaigns. That notwithstanding, they must never descend into insults, aggression, or violence. Such conduct has no place in our party and does not reflect our values. We must do what is necessary to contest ideas and positions, but we must also leave room for reconciliation. When the internal campaign ends, we must be able to return to one another as one party, united in purpose and ready to move forward together. #PartyUnity #NPP #PeacefulPolitics #LeadershipInService #WithOurOwnHands #RespectAndDiscipline #BuildingTogether #HopeForGhana

A better part of us is left void with the passing of an icon whose timeless voice and words became the soundtrack to so many seasons of our lives. Daddy Lumba, though you are gone, your legacy will live on in every melody, and in every memory. Until we meet again, Rest well, Charles K. Fosu.
