I’ve been a huge critic of Keir Starmer but today this was spot on. The death of Henry Nowak is a tragedy that should indeed be a turning point. I get the anger but the point of that turn however isn’t to get bladdered and fight coppers. It achieves nothing.

My Mum rang me yesterday in tears, worried that my youngest brother who is autistic and diabetic may lose his PIP entitlement due to only being 20. All this week has done is leave me to question why I’m in the Labour Party, we should be so much better than this.

2 weeks ago a man was killed for his political beliefs and we all (Trump included) said we need to be more careful with our language. Today Trump falsely said Sadiq Khan wants sharia law in London, effectively painting a target on his back for extremists. So irresponsible.

As I said last week. If Andy Burnham was blocked on a factional basis I would resign as a member of the Labour Party. Yesterday I did that. I had hope things could change last week. Today I have no hope. Those in and around No10 are killing the party I love deeply.

A speech that sounded like he was in opposition with no answer to those who voted with their feet on Thursday. Someone close to Starmer has got to have a word with him. It’s time for the Joe Biden like conversation. Go whilst there is time and do the right thing by the country.

I will take no joy when Starmer eventually goes. This country has felt like it has been frozen in a permanent crisis for the last decade. People are struggling &amp; suffering and see no improvement in their lives. It is them that are the real losers of this whole sorry saga

Andy Burnham won every ward in every constituency in Greater Manchester because he reaches people Labour can’t. Normal people He is the normalisation of a professional class Labour Party that is out of touch with its core vote. I will be just one of millions they’ll lose by 2029

As it stands the main legacy of this Labour government will be personally delivering Nigel Farage to Number 10. We have poll numbers that are historically beyond turning round and a leader who is the most unpopular since time began. It’s as simple as that.
