I explained to you that I wouldn't be prodded by a creation of the Murdoch hate machine to denounce a country which my government is currently terrorizing through bombs and sanctions, and whose children my government has wantonly slaughtered. Caving to worn-out corporate media sleaze tactics by echoing a neocon talking point against my will, and in violation of my sense of personal integrity, would have been a demonstration of cowardice. Now, do you remember when I challenged you to utter a single phrase which the British national security state has outlawed, and which your fellow British citizens can go to jail for saying? Last January, I asked you if you would state, "I support Palestine Action," and you refused. Saying these words would have been a true act of courage, demonstrating solidarity with your fellow citizens who have been imprisoned for their speech, and challenging an undemocratic political establishment that is threatened by four simple words. You refused, and failed an actual moral test.
