San Diego is a proud military town—and we will not stand by as the USNS Harvey Milk is stripped of its name. This is an attack on LGBTQ veterans and a wasteful distraction from real issues like the cost of living and national security. #Forward #ForAllofUs

I’m honored to now serve as President of The United States Conference of Mayors. The first Mayor from San Diego and the first openly LGBTQ+ mayor to lead this national organization. I'm using this platform to advance solutions that build more homes, keep neighborhoods safe, and expand opportunity.

We’ve cleared encampments near Commercial and National Avenue in #EastVillage. It’s not compassionate to leave people out on the streets. We will continue the work of getting people out of unsafe encampments, into shelters, and on a path to permanent housing. #ForAllofUs
