Thank you again, Oklahoma. I’m deeply grateful for the trust you’ve placed in me, and I’m optimistic about what comes next. As the Republican nominee for Governor, my immediate priorities are clear: Deliver real tax relief Raise literacy across Oklahoma Protect Oklahoma land from hostile foreign ownership I also want to set the record straight on two important issues. First, our firefighters, police officers, state troopers and other public servants deserve certainty about their pensions. I have never supported, and will never support, replacing their defined benefit plans with a 401(k)-style system. I worked to help rescue Oklahoma’s pension systems before, and I will protect them as Governor. Second, on the proposed aluminum plant, Oklahoma’s interests must come first. That means a thorough EPA and Oklahoma DEQ review, independent third-party validation, continuous emissions monitoring, yearly testing of surrounding soil, hay, water and wildlife, and requiring technology capable of driving fluoride emissions down to .45 pounds per ton of aluminum produced. Just as important, we are researching an insurance or bonding mechanism that would protect nearby property owners if the plant’s operations fail to meet the standards we require. If something goes wrong, Oklahoma families and landowners should not be left holding the bag. We are also evaluating additional technologies, including approaches being used internationally, that could reduce emissions even further. Economic growth and environmental responsibility are not mutually exclusive. We can create jobs, protect taxpayers, defend property owners and keep Oklahoma’s land, air and water safe. Oklahoma’s next chapter can be our greatest yet. Now, it’s time to get to work.

Politics can be tough, and I have never expected my opponents to go easy on my record or my plans for Oklahoma. That comes with the territory. What I will not accept is seeing a difficult chapter of my life, one that strengthened my faith, deepened my gratitude and taught me never to quit, twisted into something it is not. I have been completely transparent about my health, including releasing the results of a full medical examination and a clean drug test. I am healthy, clear-minded and ready to serve. My recovery is a story of triumph over tragedy, and I hope it reminds anyone facing their own difficult season that adversity does not have to define your future. Come after my record. Challenge my plans. Debate me on taxes, education and protecting Oklahoma land. I welcome that conversation. And if there is one thing my story should tell you about me, it is this: I will never quit on Oklahoma.

This campaign was never about politics. It was about whether Oklahoma would settle for decline… or fight for something greater. Over the last 18 months, people across this state chose to believe again. That Oklahoma’s best days are still ahead. That strong leadership still matters. That government can still serve the people instead of itself. And now, together, we’re about to prove it. June 16th. Let’s finish this.

Oklahoma is getting left behind. We’re losing energy companies to Texas. Tennessee’s economy is growing dramatically faster than ours. And while other conservative states are creating opportunity, Oklahoma is still standing still. President Trump endorsed me because I am the only candidate with a real plan to make Oklahoma a no income tax state. In year one, I’ll ask the legislature to cut the state income tax from 4.5% to 3% as part one of a three-part plan to eliminate it completely. That means more growth. More jobs. More opportunity for our kids and grandkids. It’s time to stop thinking small. We either get on board, or we get left behind. Working with President Trump, we’ll get it done.

Two more Oklahoma icons just packed up and left. Devon. Expand Energy. Headed to Houston. This isn’t random. It’s not bad luck. It’s policy. For decades, we’ve watched high-paying jobs walk across the Red River. Kerr-McGee. Conoco. Phillips. Halliburton. Thousands of careers gone because Oklahoma refuses to compete. Texas has no income tax. We do. That’s the difference. The political class says eliminating the income tax will take 25 years. Twenty-five years? That’s surrender. I built a real plan that gets us to zero income tax in just six years. Three steps. Responsible. Strategic. Modeled after what’s working in Tennessee. And here’s the key: we maintain funding for core services while we do it. I’m a money manager. I’ve spent my life mastering finance. Oklahoma doesn’t just need slogans. We need leadership that understands how the numbers work. We cannot force companies to stay. But we can stop giving them reasons to leave. Oklahomans shouldn’t have to pay rent to the government just to live in their own homes. I’m working on a bold plan to make Oklahoma the first state in America without property taxes — starting by eliminating them for seniors and veterans. When county budgets are ballooning and community colleges have so much excess tax money they’re offering free tuition to non-residents, it’s clear the system is broken. It’s time for real, common-sense conservative reform.
