Sold a company for $1.15B (yes, with a B). That's the headline, but not the full story and certainly not the lesson for any of us still building. And no, it isn't Gruns. We're talking about Eucalyptus. I'm seriously so impressed with Tim Doyle. We are so lucky to speak with great consumer founders all the time at Operators . It's one of the best parts of the job. But Tim is special. Crazyyyyyy clear thinking. Lots of usable models for the rest of us to adopt. Tim is GROSSLY UNDER FOLLOWED! I love talking to guys like Tim. I learn a ton because they are still in the game. They didn't find success in a different era....they're doing it right now. I hope you enjoy this conversation with Tim as much as we did.

If food waste were a country it would be the THIRD LARGEST emitter of greenhouse gasses in the world. Basically, when food waste goes to landfills it creates methane. And methane is worse than CO2 by like..80x. It's bad. Very bad. So…today we launch our newest product. Lomi Bloom (2.0) -> seriously...watch the video Here’s why: More than 72% of Americans don’t have access to food waste pickup (aka - food recycling). In short. Food waste is dumb and it’s time we made it smartr (see what I did there?). The solutions offered by legacy waste management kind of suck. Basically, they offer us a little smelly, pest-loving bin to put under your sink and fill with rotting food. We pay real $$$ every year to have our trash picked up and this is all they got? No wonder waste management is one of the most profitable industries out there... These are the reasons (WHY) behind creating the world’s first Smart Waste appliance. As an entrepreneur, this feels like a problem worth solving. We launched the original Lomi in April of 2021. After 165,000+ users and a lot of feedback, I’m stoked to show the world what we’ve been working on for the last 2.5 years. Lomi Bloom is smarter, faster, quieter and… For the first time ever we’re introducing a platform that rewards you for doing the right thing. Every time you run your Lomi, you’ll be earning rewards that can be redeemed for your favorite brands (i.e. - HexClad, Ooni, Goldilocks and more) Rewards? Wt?!? Yes, I believe in this so much we’re willing to actually PAY people to use Lomi. Almost every “climate” solution we have as a society comes in the form of a tax. Maybe it’s time we try something…different? The new Lomi Bloom will even tell you your carbon footprint from the food waste you divert from landfills by using Lomi. That means this is literally the only appliance in your life that LOWERS your carbon footprint. (Yes, this is verified by multiple third-party orgs) Oh yah, and there are two new beautiful colors in Black and Sage Green. Head to Lomi [.com] (please don’t punish me algorithm gods) to check it out.

$770M+ in Revenue...THIS YEAR! There aren't many ecommerce companies operating at this scale. On this episode of Titans, you're going to meet the operator of one of them. The way Jabran Niaz thinks and operates is unlike most other entrepreneurs. You're just going to have to go listen to this ep to see what I'm talking about. Link in the next post...

What do you think it’s like working with David Beckham to build a company? I’d be lying if I didn’t say I wasn’t at least a little curious. No major celebs over here at my brands. But on this episode of Operators Titans, we got to talk with Danny Yeung . He’s the co-founder and CEO of IM8. Yes, that’s David Beckham’s supplement company. Their growth rate on ARR has been meteoric. The stuff of legend. This isn’t an episode you’re going to want to miss. Link in the next post 👇👇👇

NEW TITANS EPISODE Before starting Musely, Jack Jia was already a 4x founder, led one of his companies to IPO, and an early investor in dozens of unicorns worth +$100B. Quite possibly the most interesting man in the world. He came to the US with $50 in his pocket to pursue an advanced degree in computer fault tolerance. Literally, rocket science. But it wasn’t until he DIY’d his own backyard golf green for $5k (after a contractor told him it’d cost $300k), that he turned his attention to consumer. Since then, his DTC telehealth brand has pivoted multiple times. First, as an app with 8M users + 20–30M monthly readers. Second, as a marketplace that cost them $2M before it failed. Now as Musely, going from one patient (his wife) to one million. This is a story about … - Doing it yourself no matter what - Turning customers into marketers - Relentlessly tracking innovation - Revolutionizing an entire industry - And not following best practices Thank you to our sponsor AppLovin for making this possible. I hope you enjoy and learn from Jack as much as we did.
