⏱️~24 minutes saved roundtrip. ⏩37 speed restrictions removed. After 24 days of uninterrupted access, we were able to deliver major service improvements to our riders on the Red Line Braintree Branch. Thank you to our riders for giving us the time needed for #BuildingABetterT.

New, modern signals are now fully installed across the Orange Line. On March 6, we finished the full-access diversion 2 days early after completing the cutover to the state-of-the-art digital signal system, which means greater service reliability and more efficient operations.

On December 21, 2024, we fulfilled our promise of removing all subway slow zones when we completed our Track Improvement Program. But our work isn't done. We're committed to maintaining &amp; improving our system &amp; look forward to more upgrades in 2025 &amp; beyond. #BuildingABetterT

Red Line Speed Restrictions: 0️⃣ The Red Line is slow zone-free for the first time in at least 20 years. From November 17-24, we eliminated 2 slow zones &amp; completed key infrastructure upgrades during the Red Line's last closure for our Track Improvement Program. #BuildingABetterT

After the 9-day Green Line diversion, we lifted 12 speed restrictions (2 more than planned) to enhance safety &amp; lessen travel times. The closure also allowed for structural repairs at Boylston &amp; station upgrades, improving rider experience every step of the way. #BuildingABetterT

Before you line up that perfect shot, know what you can &amp; cannot photograph/video when on T property. As always, courtesy counts - please be aware of your surroundings, respect riders, &amp; don't interfere with transit activities when taking photos/videos. 📸

Regular fare collection has resumed systemwide as of today, September 1. All fare mitigations for Mass. Transportation Sumner Tunnel closure and systemwide slow zones have ended. Please load your CharlieCard/Ticket with the appropriate cash value or passes in advance for faster boarding.
