New top speed reached! For the first time, the Orange Line is running at a max speed of 55mph between Oak Grove and Assembly. Previously maxing out at 40mph, we're excited to deliver infrastructure upgrades that lead to faster service and time savings. ⏩

We'll get you home after a long night out or a long shift on. Extended service is running ~1 hour later on subway &amp; 8 bus routes on Fridays &amp; Saturdays + 5 bus routes running extended service daily. All modes are FREE after 9pm for 5 Fridays &amp; Saturdays:

New, modern signals are now fully installed across the Orange Line. On March 6, we finished the full-access diversion 2 days early after completing the cutover to the state-of-the-art digital signal system, which means greater service reliability and more efficient operations.

For the last diversion of 2025, we suspended the Green Line to update historic infrastructure from the 1890s. On December 8-22, we installed new catenary supports, added GLTPS equipment, upgraded stations, &amp; more to modernize our system to reliably serve riders for years to come.
