In 2022 after I lost my Dad and was looking for a way to escape, I decided on a whim to go to Grad School. I applied to Georgetown University and despite the program being highly selective, I was accepted. $90K in school fees later and after many sleepless nights studying, doing group work & traveling across EU and Asia for immersive learning, I graduated with a Master in International Business & Policy. Congratulations to me. This would not have been possible without the support of my Dad's siblings who took care of me after Mzee rested, as well as Dr. Catherine Kyobutungi Muzukulu wa Bityo Mūndū wa wanja Ahmednasir Abdullahi SC Mutahi Kahiga who "escorted" me to the US, as any friend would. Not forgetting Nelson Amenya who gifted me an iPad Pro that got me through Grad school, but also sent me za kabej often to put a smile on my face. Many thanks also to Shosho Light who helped me navigate my first winter here in the land of the free. To all my friends on and off this app who encouraged me and prayed for me - Asante sana. To my new fam in Georgetown: Rick, JP, Alejandro, Kelvin, Bezawit, Melissa, Chris, Christina, Harold...and the entire MSB/SFS class of 2025, it has been the privilege of my life to learn and do life with you at Georgetown University. #HoyaSaxa
