I told Fox News JER on FOX News the right comparison for the 2026 Iran MOU is Obama’s 2013 JPOA: an interim deal that accepted enrichment, provided $20B in relief, and secured limited, reversible nuke concessions. It led to the fatally flawed JCPOA. Hope history doesn’t repeat itself.

In this interview, Tucker Carlson had some choice words about me. I found them puzzling. Tucker may not know this but I had the honor of working with Tucker’s wonderful father, Richard, at FDD—may his memory be a blessing. He was a great American. In my first op-ed after moving from Canada in 2003, we wrote together to defend Israel at the International Court of Justice, which shamefully condemned its security barrier meant to stop suicide bombings ( Dick was more than a colleague—he was a mentor who taught me what it meant for America to be the indispensable nation. As a one-time “foreigner,” I aspired to be American from a young age. I’ve now proudly been one for over a decade. Dick served President Reagan, whose idea of “regime change” wasn’t invasion—it was unwavering support for the courageous dissidents behind the Iron Curtain who helped bring down the Soviet Union. He was director of Voice of America during the Cold War where he played an instrumental role in the fall of the USSR. That’s exactly my vision for Iran: maximum support for the Iranian people as they fight to bring down the Islamic Republic from within. Finally, I never told Tucker to “shut up” — he has an American and God-given right to speak his mind. So, let’s have that “open, honest and transparent conversation” he wants.
