Stop Duffing Your Wedges !! If you try and apply what you do in the long game to a 50-yard pitch shot you are in trouble. When it comes to this yardage and under it’s about finesse We need a different motion to tap into our feel. If you are patient with the transition, allowing your arms to drop this will not only help you soften things up and feel more but it will also help you use the leading edge and bounce through the turf. I Gave a Stranger A Golf Lesson 🏌️‍♂️ I was travelling in Denver a couple of weeks ago and decided to go for a morning run As I ran past this guy in the street, he called back and said “No way! Is that you Andy from Me and My Golf”. Of course, I stopped and chatted for a while. This is one of our favourite things about what we do! I asked him to send me some swings through and I would give him some help. It was clear to me that Nick wasn’t really shifting his weight to his lead leg in the downswing. This always leads to lack of compression with irons and often some duff shots ⛳️ If you struggle with this, make sure you get to that impact line as early as possible. Also, if you ever see us in the street or at a golf event, please say hi! You never know, we might even do the same for you. #golflesson #golf

Swing ON PLANE if you want more Straight Shots Josh had more planes than Heathrow! So, we simplified his take away with the help of an alignment stick as feedback How you start the swing will influence the rest: Josh would whip it inside and then up high making it very difficult to pivot the body well and deliver the club from a good place. We got Josh to stop at waist height as a check point and then feel a good pivot to the top where his arms were a little flatter. The result in the downswing was a much shallower approach leading to better turf interation and a more predictable straighter ball flight. #golf #golftips

They are often focused on some of the bigger things they see like an Over The Top or a Hanging Back Yet how we use the ground will massively impact those moves and in turn influences our ball striking As you know, in the downswing we want some lateral shift of the lower body and rotation. This drill helps you achieve both. Simply doing this will create awareness of where you are and that is the starting point of change. #golfball #golf

Struggle with Over The Top? This has been something that we have been working on with Karol and it has improved a lot. Karol tends to only rotate the body from the top rather than have a little lateral shift. This results in the shaft moving forward above plane and leads to inconsistent strikes. We focused on allowing the lower body to move towards the target in transition and feeling the arms fall into the space in the downswing. A little feedback from the alignment sticks when practicing helped to reinforce that feeling. #golfdrill

All we did was adjust her shoulder alignment and made sure she completed her turn and this got her On Plane hitting super straight shots immediately.
