PabloReports: How do House Republicans make the case that you're fighting for affordability when you go back to your districts? Nehls: Affordability? What are you talking about? I'm gonna go there tomorrow. I'm gonna get me a couple of big lobster tails. I'm gonna get me some nice rib eyes. Reporter: Do you think the 60% of Americans living paycheck to paycheck can afford lobster tails and rib eyes and all of that? Nehls: Maybe not. Maybe the 60% of Americans don't work as hard as I do.

Rep. Balint on Hegseth's obsession with testosterone, his announcement of testosterone therapy for troops, and his attacks on women in combat: "I think it is indicative of the fact that there are so many people in this administration that have some weird, intense, homoerotic, feelings towards men while also being incredibly homophobic, and not just homophobic, but like hate-mongering, fear-mongering about the LGBTQ community. So, let me be clear. I don't think the homoeroticism is the weird part. The weird part is that they pretend that that's not what it's about. And so, Pete Hegseth is like the example of this, like the manly, manly, rugged, macho man, and it's like, I don't know if you know who Tom of Finland is...this is a gay male porn that was drawn by a man. And, like, Pete Hegseth is the embodiment of that. So I feel like they must be looking at that as their example for what men look like. And in terms of not promoting women, we know what this is all about. The military, whether you support the military-industrial complex or not, it has always been merit-based. The people who are the best of the best rise to the top. And so the fact that he has systematically been keeping down women and people of color gives up the whole game. It's actually not about a merit-based system anymore."

March 9: "We're now totally independent of the Middle East. We don't need their oil." April 1: "It doesn't really affect us. We have so much oil. We have tremendous oil and gas, much more than we need." June 17: If I didn't agree to the MOU, we "would run out of reserves at about 4 weeks...we would really run out, and there'll be a time when you wouldn't be able to get it."

He's dealing with the previous administration and all the stupid things that they did.

Curtis Sliwa goes off on James Dolan for the stunt he pulled yesterday related to the Knicks watch party at MSG: “Before the Knicks championship run against the San Antonio Spurs, the most hated, loathed person in New York was Jimmy Dolan. People hate him, and now everybody is lifting him up and saying, “This guy, he's a party guy. He wants us to party to the break of dawn and celebrate the Knicks.” And so he threw water on Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch. But especially Zoran Mamdani yesterday, when he canceled the viewing party. And he blamed the police commissioner and the mayor, and then said, “Hey, Mr. Mayor, you're not a real Knicks fan. I wanted everyone to party. I wanted everyone to enjoy this. You're the party pooper.” Jimmy Dolan, I'm coming after you now for sure. I'll have the mayor on my side to make you pay your property taxes. $48 million a year. I think, finally, the mayor may say, “Yeah, let's tax that rich guy who blasphemed me.””

Here’s the original clip of Ronald Reagan from April 25, 1987, where he delivered a complete and total rebuke against tariffs. Trump is calling Reagan’s words in this video “FAKE” and “fraudulent.” They’re 100% real. And the original clip is actually far worse for Trump, as much is left out of the ad. Watch this clip and read the full transcript: Throughout the world, there's a growing realization that the way to prosperity for all nations is rejecting protectionist legislation and promoting fair and free competition. Now, there are sound historical reasons for this. For those of us who lived through the Great Depression, the memory of the suffering it caused is deep and searing. And today, many economic analysts and historians argue that high tariff legislation passed back in that period, called the Smoot-Hawley tariff, greatly deepened the depression and prevented economic recovery. You see, at first when someone says, let's impose tariffs on foreign imports, it looks like they're doing the patriotic thing by protecting American products and jobs. And sometimes for a short while, it works, but only for a short time. What eventually occurs is, first, homegrown industries start relying on government protection in the form of high tariffs. They stop competing and stop making the innovative management and technological changes they need to succeed in world markets. And then, while all this is going on, something even worse occurs. High tariffs inevitably lead to retaliation by foreign countries and the triggering of fierce trade wars. The result is more and more tariffs, higher and higher trade barriers, and less and less competition. So soon, because of the prices made artificially high by tariffs that subsidize inefficiency and poor management, people stop buying. Then the worst happens. Markets shrink and collapse, businesses and industry shut down, and millions of people lose their jobs. The memory of all this occurring back in the 30s made me determined when I came to Washington to spare the American people the protectionist legislation that destroys prosperity. Now, it hasn't always been easy. There are those in the Congress, just as there were back in the 30s, who want to go for the quick political advantage, who risk America's prosperity for the sake of a short-term appeal to some special interest group, who forget that more than 5 million American jobs are directly tied to the foreign export business, and additional millions are tied to imports. Well, I've never forgotten those jobs. And on trade issues, by and large, we've done well.
