God Marjing is one of the five gods who enter into the human body and position themselves as one of the souls. 𝙈𝙖𝙮 𝙄𝙗𝙪𝙙𝙝𝙤𝙪 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙟𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙞𝙩, 𝙨𝙤𝙪𝙡 & 𝙗𝙤𝙙𝙮! Every year, devotees visit Marjing Hill and pay homage to God Marjing. During the Lai Haraoba festival, a maibi (priestess) performs a ritual in the form of a mime. She holds a mallet in her hand and enacts the game of polo. The Indigenous Meiteis have a deep connection with the Forest, the Hills, and the valleys where the rivers meet. This connection is rooted in our cultural, spiritual & traditional practices. This is the way of life, this is our identity #ThisIsManipur 🙏
