I understand this is just college banter, but in the context of such a tragedy, these jokes come across as anything but humorous. While I understand the intent to promote brotherhood between India and Pakistan in the UK, especially with large numbers of Indian and Pakistani students sharing college spaces and interacting regularly, doing so in this manner feels deeply distasteful and offensive. The Indian lad needs to be extremely cautious about what he’s doing under the guise of humor.
