FINRA responded by the deadline; SEC responded 6 days late. 2/2/24: Dennis Kneale interviews Ralph Norman and asks about (MMTLP open letter response) subpoenas and hearings. (On subpoenas) Norman: "That has to come from a chair of a committee, James Comer is chair of oversight. He signed our letter." (On hearings) Norman: "Yes, and we're going to lead the way on that because at the HFSC, that's our job!" 7/10/24: No subpoenas, no hearing (even thought Norman says "We've had hearings on this." (In his interview with Dan Ball) "It's in the SEC's hands." As if to hang his hat on the charges against the former CEOs which still to this day haven't be ruled on or dropped and it seemed as if Norman was wiping his hands clean of getting us answers. 5/26/25: 479 days since his interview with Dennis Kneale, Charles V Payne had Norman on his show again and asks for an update. I have a few questions for you Hester. 1) How long exactly is "some time" to sort through "these issues"? 2) how "seriously" do you take these inquiries? 🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🔥 3) Will you commit to push to ban Payment for Order Flow completely? If not, how can it be safeguarded to allow for more competition and prevent abuse through market maker exemptions? (MiFiD/MiFiR) You know that mechanism that is rife with conflicts of interest, has hidden costs and argueably worse execution. You know, that mechanism that kills transparency and gives the illusion of retail being able to trade more cheaply while handing their trades right into the hands of market makers that abuse the system by batching and shoving retail trades off-exchange to kill price discovery?
