In honor of Haitian Heritage Month, I present to you a VERY special live set at La Citadelle Laferrière in Milot, Haïti 🇭🇹🌎 Commissioned by Henri Christophe and completed in 1820, La Citadelle Laferrière (Sitadèl-Laferyè in kreyol) was built to ward off invasions from the French following the Haitian revolution. It is one of Haïti’s national landmarks, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and symbolizes the strength of the Haitian people against adversity. It was truly an honor to get to do this. Merci Montréal 🫶🏽 BAYO I honestly can’t believe how much BAYO has grown in Montreal. In 2019 we did a show for 450 people at Fairmont Theater and last night there were almost 10k of you at Parc Jean Drapeau. It’s an honor to get to bring together so many amazing artists for these shows. It’s an honor to get to highlight dance, music, visuals and food from Haiti and the global diaspora in one place. I put so much heart and soul into these shows to make them memorable. I hope you can feel it. So grateful for you all ❤️
