I feel that Sinn Féin is very weak on First Time Buyers. There will be about 125,000 First Time Buyers in the next five years. First Time Buyers are currently getting on average €87,500 in supports from the State. Sinn Féin wants to get rid of that. That’s a big weakness.

Pleased to be here at the African Union-European Union Summit. This is a growing and developing relationship. Ireland has a long historic relationship with Africa, strengthened through work in education and health, our development programme, and stronger economic ties.

We want a national pay agreement and for negotiations to begin. This Government is pro-public service. We have expanded it significantly to serve our growing population. We acknowledge the cost of living. That's why the Budget cut taxes & the cost of childcare and disability.

The international community has failed Palestine. When the true horrors in Gaza are revealed, it will shame the world. Nobody can say we did not know, so let it not be said we did not act. A two-state solution is the only path to peace and security for all.

This is a Budget for families, for workers and helping people with rising costs. - We're putting more money back in workers’ pockets - Supporting families and carers with the cost of childcare and disability - Easing the burden of fuel and energy costs for those who need it most

For me and my party, Irish unity is not a slogan or a campaign, it is a very precious aspiration. Achieving it means grinding out the hard yards of reconciliation, building trust, and developing a shared understanding of how we live on this island.

Shocked and concerned by the assault on Michael Healy-Rae. Violence has no place in a democracy, and those elected to represent the people must be allowed to do their work without fear of abuse or assault.

We recognise and understand the pressures that have arisen due to rising fuel costs on all families and businesses. I am very conscious that we must support people, protect key services and make critical investments. This package is a significant response to real pressures.

It is unconscionable and illogical that amidst a global supply crisis, blockades are pushing Ireland to the precipice of turning away vital oil shipments to international buyers.

Addressing hunger and malnutrition is a priority firmly rooted in Ireland's history. Prevention is not only the right choice morally, but also the smart choice economically. Ireland will continue to champion child nutrition and work closely with our global partners.
