Timely action by CRPF saved a precious life in Kulgam. Personnel of CRPF’s 90 Battalion acted with remarkable speed and professionalism after a man suffered a serious cardiac emergency on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. The jawans immediately administered CPR, provided emergency medication, and shifted the patient to a nearby hospital within the crucial “golden hour.” Their alertness, training, and humanity played a vital role in saving the man’s life. Salute to the brave personnel of CRPF for not only protecting lives from threats, but also standing as lifesavers in times of medical emergencies. Yesterday’s operation in Gulmarg was nothing short of heroic. Tourists stranded in the Gondola at nearly 11,000 feet after a major technical snag were rescued in extremely difficult conditions, amid harsh weather and challenging terrain. J&K Police and its SDRF wing, along with other security forces, carried out a highly professional and courageous rescue operation. The dedication, coordination and commitment shown on ground deserve the highest appreciation. LG J&K Office of LG J&K and DGP J&K Police continuously monitored the situation, while DGP J&K Shri Nalin Prabhat himself, along with senior leadership of J&K Police, rushed to the site and physically supervised the entire operation till the safety of every stranded tourist was ensured. Such operations once again prove that J&K Police is not only fighting terrorism on one front, but is also always standing shoulder to shoulder with the people during emergencies and disasters. Dear beloved countrymen, Do you know that countless unknown men within the country and beyond its borders, have silently sacrificed their lives for the defense and dignity of this beloved nation? Many fought battles we never heard about, endured hardships we can never imagine, and protected us without ever asking for fame, applause, or recognition. We do not know even their names. Their stories were never published. Their sacrifices were never celebrated on television or social media. Yet because of them, our flag still flies high and we sleep in peace. Some wore uniforms, some worked in silence, and some gave everything without anyone ever knowing. They are the unseen guardians of this nation. A nation survives not only because of famous heroes, but also because of countless forgotten patriots whose sacrifices remain buried in silence. Why did Captain Thapar ask his father to send Rs 50 every month to a muslim girl Ruksana? Because for him, duty didn’t end with the battlefield. While posted in Kupwara, terrorists had stormed into the home of a young girl, Ruksana, and killed her parents for allegedly being army informers. She was left alone, with no support and no future. Captain Thapar didn’t look away. He got her admitted to school. He made sure she had financial support. Soon after, during the Kargil War, Captain Thapar made the ultimate sacrifice. But even in martyrdom, his humanity lives on. He wasn’t just a soldier who fought enemies , he was a man who protected lives, rebuilt hope, and stood by a child when the world had abandoned her.

Current violence in Kashmir did not erupt in isolation. Credible inputs indicate that elements backed by ISI exploited the situation to trigger unrest. What began as peaceful gatherings was deliberately hijacked by anti-national elements (ANEs) who pushed Shia and Sunni youth toward coordinated stone pelting on security forces. The intent was clear: provoke a reaction, create confrontation, capture selective visuals, and malign the image of forces maintaining law and order. Peaceful voices were sidelined. The narrative was engineered. Kashmir has seen this pattern before. When peaceful sentiment is manipulated for strategic optics, it is the common people who suffer the consequences. Stability is not threatened by peaceful protest. It is threatened when hidden hands turn it into orchestrated violence. What is equally concerning is the role of certain political actors. Leaders like Aga Ruhullah and Junaid Mattoo amplified provocative content on social media. Instead of calming tempers, they chose to inflame passions. Such conduct raises serious questions about whose interests they truly represent. History has shown that in every fort there emerges a “Mir Jafar”. The tragedy is that ordinary people end up paying the price for the ambitions and agendas of a few.
