🗣️🇵🇹 | Ruben Amorim on Chivu's words: “If you look at the last years, we won 1 Scudetto in 20 years, so we don't need Chivu's words to be motivated. For me Milan, is the best Italian club, but in 20 years we won 0 Coppa Italia, 2 Scudetti, so something is wrong here. We don't need Chivu to tell us, we know.”

🗣️🔥 | Ruben Amorim goes on a rant when confronted with critics that Milan played a defensive game against Juventus after promising dominant offensive football: “I understand the pressure. I understand that when a young guy, comes to Italy, to tell you how to play your football, it's really hard. In the very first moment you are waiting to tell me in my face. The only thing that I promise, is that team is going to be in the first place. My intention is always to dominate the game, but then Spalletti, Fabregas, all these guys are really good, and will push us. If we won, some guys would have to keep that question one more week in the pocket. My intention is always be better than the opponent; I will try, but then, you have Spalletti. Spalletti was better than me. That's normal. Everytime we don't dominate in terms of creativity, you are going to tell me that I promised it. No, I did not. I didn't promise it. I promised that my intention is going to be that, but sometimes I'm not going to be able to give you what you want. I told my players that we need to be perfect every game, because people are expecting us to sleep.”

![🗣️🇵🇹 | Ruben Amorim was asked about the opinions of club legends: “I was in a club [Manchester United] in the past with a lot of legends, and they have big opinions, and they talk a lot about things. They lived in a time that was completely different. We need to understand that we are building something, and we need time for that. Time is not my responsibility, it's on the owner and board. My focus is to win.”](https://image.24vids.com/tw-2098391119503462812/amplify_video_thumb/2098389956389449734/img/Kjff0FgrIQA03HtF.jpg)

![🗣️😂 | Ruben Amorim when Gonçalo Ramos was asked if in Portugal he receives criticism if he doesn' score: “It's the same in Portugal, if he doesn't score...it's the same. You guys [journalists] are the same.”](https://image.24vids.com/tw-2099846327593009240/amplify_video_thumb/2099846052127879168/img/gkFRA_z-PDbyydth.jpg)
🗣️🇵🇹 | Ruben Amorim asked if he can make Milan play like Fabregas's Como: “If you want a team that plays like Como, you need to buy the manager of Como. I'm completly different, I have my style of play and idendity. We are in different clubs. I'm not focused on how Como is playing, I'm focused on how to win games and play in the way that I feel that is the right way of playing. Of course I want to steal a lot of things from a lot of managers, but I don't copy managers.”

🗣️🇵🇹 | Ruben Amorim was asked at what percentage his Milan project is, in the post-Lecce press conference: “You guys are obsessed with what is our point in this moment. We are still in the beginning. My feeling is that to pass from one team that is waiting for the game, to a team that wants to press and wants to play 1v1, that needs to adapt, of course we are going to have problems. I cannot give you a percentage. We are still in the beginning. We will take time.”

🗣️🇵🇹 | Ruben Amorim was asked how Pulisic is and if he likes him: “You're going to see Pulisic tomorrow. He's going to play some minutes now. I like Pulisic. Pulisic is upset at the moment, because he has 0 minutes, and I love that. He's ready to play. Let's not forget that he had an injury. It doesn't matter if you are a top player, I don't take out all the other guys that are doing well right away to put any player in the world. Pulisic is really important for us. We will have time for everyone.”

🗣️🇵🇹 | Ruben Amorim to journalist Michael Cuomo after making him give the best starting XI: “I know it's not your job, it's my job. Last week you said that the best XI was Lazio's second half, right? Modrić was there? No. We can have this conversation all day. Nobody here wants to win more games than me. I'm thinking about long term, because that's the best thing for the club, not the best for me. And sorry about that, it's my job, not your job.”

🗣️🇧🇪 | Ruben Amorim on Diego Moreira's role: “I see him more as a wing-back, but there are some games that he can play ahead, or Moreira as wing-back and Chukwueze ahead. We have many players to rotate, but I see him more on the right or left, as a wing-back, to give us 1v1 against teams that defend really well.”

🎙️🇵🇹 | Ruben Amorim after he keeps getting asked on the transfer market in the press conference: “We need to focus on the game. We have players, we have defenders, even some defenders that I need space to play. We are not going to solve all our problems in one window, we need to take time. We may have some problems with the young players in some games, but big surprises happen.”
