A young man exposing Senator Shehu Buba’s alleged links to terrorism reportedly fled to Niger Republic for his safety. Reports claim the senator sent his PA to track him down, but the PA was arrested by Nigerien authorities. The whistleblower was also detained, but after presenting his evidence and explaining the situation, he was released. If true, this means a sitting Nigerian senator and aspiring governor is not only allegedly linked to terrorism but also accused of attempting to silence a critic across international borders. Nigeria cannot afford to ignore allegations this serious.

Yaradua gave a speech without reading from a paper. It shows he knows what he needed to say and the problems in Nigeria and is willing to solve them. God bless him, may his soul rest in peace.
