According to her, Senator Shehu Buba called him and instructed him to go and pick up a young man, believed to be Hassan. A young man exposing Senator Shehu Buba’s alleged links to terrorism reportedly fled to Niger Republic for his safety. Reports claim the senator sent his PA to track him down, but the PA was arrested by Nigerien authorities. The whistleblower was also detained, but after presenting his evidence and explaining the situation, he was released. If true, this means a sitting Nigerian senator and aspiring governor is not only allegedly linked to terrorism but also accused of attempting to silence a critic across international borders.
