Please disregard this fake video that is making rounds on social media. There is no lockdown in Mubende and Kassanda or any other part of the country. There is no local transmission of #Ebola in any part of #Uganda. The country remains safe. #MOHatWork | #FightEbolaUG26

Our Permanent Secretary, Dr. Diana Atwine, was grossly misrepresented by the Daily Monitor in their lead story today about the International Specialised Hospital in Uganda, Lubowa. When the Daily Monitor reporter reached out to her for comment on the supplementary budget passed by Parliament, Dr. Atwine politely referred them to the Ministry of Finance for specific details. Unfortunately, the reporter chose to misinterpret their phone conversation, leading to a misleading narrative. The video below shows the progress of works at the International Specialised Hospital , Lubowa.
