Papa. The man who taught me how to cook. The first meal being ugali skuma at 10yrs in our small rental at Majengo. The man who ensured I had proper education, taking me and enrolling me to all schools I’ve ever been at. The man who introduced me to old school rhumba, Michael Jackson and Luo music. The man introduced us wrestling, smack down abd natgeo world. The man who Every time we were on the road, he’d name and tell us the places like a history teacher. He’s the one who taught me about stars, we watched stars on the beautiful and calm Dala nights, he showed me moving stars, shooting starts and occasionally we’d see meteors. The many trips he took my siblings and I to Kisumu Museum. His calls, text messages and prayers. Etc etc On my 18th birthday, he sent me a card that said “May you have a good life now and forever”. I hold on to those words dearly. Today he turns 67. My love for him forever. A happiest birthday to him. May he live to have many many more. Happy 67th birthday Papa dearest❤️❤️❤️
