It’s been ten years! 141 hospital appointments and 88 blood tests later 🎉🎉 I’m looking at the pictures that I took of myself when I first noticed the changes in my face and I’m so thankful. A lot has changed. My life has changed so much. Sometimes, I don’t even recognize this face I’m carrying around. I still remember being a teenager and never having to take paracetamol for anything. I’m definitely going to write a book about all of these for my 50th LUPUSVERSARY but for now, I’m choosing to celebrate myself for the next 90 days. Cake, photoshoots, everything!! Na me know wetin my eye don see/ still dey see. #LupusChampion

Hello everyone, Assumpta Idaka AEI urgently needs our help to raise ₦26 million by 27 September 2026 to fund her Master’s degree at the University of Southampton in the UK. As a woman living with cerebral palsy, getting an education in Nigeria has already required her to overcome significant physical, social and financial barriers. She has continued to pursue her dreams despite these challenges, and finances are about to stop her from taking this next step. She got an opportunity to study MA Creative Marketing and Branding (Digital Campaigns), a course that aligns with her passion for storytelling, creative marketing and using digital media to amplify marginalised voices. We are asking you to please donate today. ₦1,000, ₦5,000, ₦10,000 or any amount you can afford. Every contribution brings her closer to her ₦26 million goal. If you cannot donate, please share this with your friends, family, churches, organisations and anyone who may be willing to support her. This Master’s is an opportunity to build her career, and eventually create more opportunities for other disabled people. The deadline is 27 September. Please donate and share. 🙏🏽

Having Lupus is falling sick on a random day and never getting better. Then learning to accept that for the rest of your life, you’d have to take medications to suppress your own immune system so it doesn’t go around your body attacking your healthy organs, cells and tissues just because your own body has considered you a potential enemy. You can do everything right, make all the lifestyle changes, never skip your meds, and still end up with organ damage. There’s really no predicting what your rebellious immune system can do to you. 😢 Two of my people are now battling End Stage Kidney Disease and fighting to stay alive because their own immune have chosen their kidneys as the enemy. Lupus Nephritis ( lupus that affects the kidneys) is the leading cause of death amongst lupus warriors. 😢 PLEASE HELP US RAISE FUNDS BY DONATING AND REPOSTING. Every 1k, 2k or even 500 naira will go a long way in saving their lives. 🤲🏽 Donation details for Precious Zenith Bank 2211247881 Onuoma Precious Chidera Donation details for Tolulope Access Bank 1772553349 Tolulope Ajayi God bless you as you donate and repost 🤲🏽 🥹
