i always think about how hudson played this scene and how jtierney wasnt sure with the direction hudson was taking shane but he just let him do his thing and in the end it made jtierney cry. and it became one of the highlights of the season as a whole.

"wow. genetic." really is the perfect example bc it's not really an interesting line nor does it even mean anything at all to hollanov but hudson delivered in a way that encapsulates all of shane's yearning and the sad-happy that he feels around ilya, esp after months of silence
